April 2022: Relocation of affected public utilities is nearly complete. Road work will begin in May 2022 including a closure of Worthington Road southbound between Highland Lakes Ave. and Africa Road. Northbound traffic on Africa Road will be maintained through the intersection. Specific dates and more information will be available on our social media.
Maintenance of Traffic:
- South of Africa Road: Two-way traffic will be maintained south of Africa Road at all times except for a weekend closure to install a storm sewer.
- North of Africa Road: Northbound traffic will be maintained at all times. Southbound traffic will be detoured at Highland Lakes Ave. for a period of about 5 months in 2021. Traffic should use Africa Road or State Route 3 as alternates.
- North/West of Worthington Road: South/Eastbound traffic toward the intersection will be maintained at all times. North/westbound traffic will be detoured for about 2 months.
- South/East of Worthington Road: The road will be closed for about 1 month between Parkmoore Drive and Worthington Road; otherwise, westbound traffic will be maintained with a detour for eastbound traffic.
